Global Android DevCamp 2012 coming to Twin Falls
The Southern Idaho Google Technology Users Group (GTUG) will host a "Hangout" with a representative from Google and a DevCamp/Hackathon for students and developers interested in developing and learning more about the Android platform.
Twin Falls, ID, February 16 - 19, 2012: In preparation for Global Android DevCamp 2012, the Southern Idaho GTUG will host a Google "Hangout", with a representative from Googleâ„¢, at Twin Falls High School on Thursday, February 16th at 6:00pm. The DevCamp/Hackathon will begin Friday at 5:00pm and include registration and "How To" sessions focusing around the Android development environment and digital graphics (Google Doodles). Saturday will commence at 8:00am with a full day of team development of Android applications and Google Doodles and will go into the late evening. Sunday, at 5:00pm will begin the project presentation and awards segment.
How to participate
1. The registration form is available on the Southern Idaho GTUG's website at http://southernidaho.gtugs.org. Registration is mandatory as we need a count for food and swag.
2. Participants can attend the Thursday night Hangout, the DevCamp or both.
3. DevCamp participants must supply their own computer, preferably a laptop or other portable device. Wireless Internet service will be available.
4. The event will be held at Twin Falls High School. The official location information will be posted on our website, http://southernidaho.gtugs.org.
5. Sponsorship is welcome. Interested parties can notify our GTUG by using the registration form and answering the question regarding sponsorship. Sponsors will be provided signage and presentation opportunities.
