Title 1

Our Purpose

Bridge Academy Middle School is a 7th-8th grade alternative middle school within the Twin Falls School District that was created to assist students who have struggled at their previous schools. Our classroom sizes are not larger than 16 students and each classroom has both a teacher and a paraeducator to provide support to students.

We are a Title One School that offers educational support for your student. The Title One Federal Programs help ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education.

At Bridge, we receive federal funding to work together with our parents and students to make sure that every student has the opportunity to succeed.

Because we are a Title One school, every student at Bridge Academy receives Title One Services.

PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT

Families are a vital part of our school and student success! We hold multiple family nights a year. These are used to give you the opportunity to interact with your family here at school. They also give you ideas and activities to help your child at home.

Parents are also required to be actively involved in their child's education to assist their student with moving a phase.

WAYS YOU CAN BE INVOLVED:

Join our PTA

  • Return signed weekly progress reports

  • Communicate frequently with your students teacher/staff
    Attend our field trips
    Join our family nights
Fill out our parent survey that comes out twice a year where we receive information about your family's needs and the needs of our school

  • Targeted intervention using Math and Reading programs

  • Engaging Family Nights

  • Providing parents with opportunities to get involved in their child's education

  • Tutoring every Tuesday and Thursday

  • Tutoring bus is provided

Decision-making Data we use

  • Reading Inventory

  • ISATS

  • Math Inventory

  • ISATS

Every student is screened three times a year and identified as above-grade level, at grade-level or below-grade level.

Lexile scores, Math and reading inventory scores, and our Write Tools paragraph prompt scores are triangulated with each student's historical ELA/Math ISAT scores, and their historical grades.

Who We Are

Our team consists of our principal, Tyler Matlock, five certified teachers, paraeducators, office and support staff, and a school counselor.
