A Joint Venture Between
Twin Falls School District #411 and
Boys and Girls Club of The Magic Valley
To ease the burden on parents who must work and are in high-demand jobs such as first responders, healthcare, and for TFSD #411 school nutrition, technicians and custodial workers, Twin Falls School District in coordination with Boys and Girls Club of the Magic Valley will begin offering limited childcare at one site (more sites will open if deemed necessary) from Monday, March 30, through Monday, April 20, 2020. A determination of any services after April 20, 2020, will be made the week prior and align with school closures.
Sites will be limited to 24 children each, divided up into groups of no more than 8 students. The first priority will be given to Twin Falls School District K - 5 students whose parents fall into the category of essential workers. Within the first three days of attendance at either program, parents will be required to provide a note from their employer (on business letterhead) that states their current employment schedule. The Twin Falls School District #411 stresses that we will adhere to current CDC and South Central District Health guidelines regarding hygiene for both students and staff. Each TFSD #411 and Boys and Girls Club site will have a nurse available to screen students at drop off.
Neither the Twin Falls School District or Boys and Girls Club of Magic Valley will turn anyone away due to lack of payment. If payment is a concern or if you have questions, please contact Bri Owen at bowen@bgcmv.com or 208-736-7011 X102 and the Boys and Girls Club to make arrangements for your child to attend free of charge. Cost is $12 per day per child, this includes breakfast, lunch and a snack.
