The Bridge Academy the Magic Valley’s alternative middle school & the states biggest and present model school. We currently teach the 4 core classes, Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies and also PE. We offer small class sizes, with 16 being the max students per class. We currently have two 8th grade classes & two 7th grades classes. Each classroom has a para to assist the teacher and to aid in the learning experience. This year we are modifying our dress code as well as our class schedule. We will be adding several electives as well as a STEM class to our daily schedule. We will also be the only school in the district that will be offering Project Based Learning (PBL) , which is is a student-centered education that involves a dynamic classroom approach in which students acquire a deeper knowledge through active exploration of real-world challenges and problems.

Our role in the district is to offer a student who has experienced little or no success in a traditional teaching environment the opportunity to obtain success in a well structured environment. The students have the opportunity to be referred to the Bridge Academy when it has been established that they are struggling in the traditional setting. Our school is designed to serve 7th through 8th grade levels in an alternative situation both educationally and behaviorally. We work together as a team to help these students gain the necessary skills to becoming and remaining successful in their academic goals.
